Hip Mobility Drill – Improve Your Squat

Hip Hinge mobility

Patient came to clinic with low back pain which got better after few simple prone extension exercises and was ready for discharge after 4 visits but patient wanted to learn more about core muscle exercises and how he can start working on his squats. I assessed his squats, and he was not really moving his hips when doing the squats.

So, I started working on his hip mobility exercises. In this exercise, we are trying do three things keeping our goal in mind for improving the hip mobility. We are teaching the patient how to improve hip mobility with moving his spine and connecting his core. When patient can perform this exercise you can progress the exercises in standing.
